Blackness<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0a144ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0a144ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It was inspired by my amazing poet friend, <a href=\"https:\/\/bellasaturdayborn.wordpress.com\/\">Bella Dapilma<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote a piece entitled &#8220;<strong>Darkness before Dawn<\/strong>,&#8221; I pulled a few verses from the poem which inspired the creation of this image. In the intro of her poem, she writes &#8220;<em>In the beginning there was darkness&#8230;in the dark, they carved black hands and they were heavenly<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">This piece is part of a project initiative aimed to challenge the concept of darkness. Some of the most beautiful things can come from darkness, and sometimes things shine the brightest when it is dark.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 20px\">Darkness should not be synonymous with ugly, evil, bad.
